Simple question. Bonus points if you have pics! What’s the most expensive car you’ve ever ridden in?

Brand new or what the owner paid?

Good question, lets go with current value

Most expensive I've ridden (and driven) in was a Cadillac XLR, back when it was new.

Jag XJL. Not sure of the year, probably 2012-13. I got to drive it around the neighborhood so it wasn't me riding but that's the most expensive I can think of off the top of my head.

Is it sad that I’m going to say a top trim 2006 350Z (brand new)?
I’ve sat in many expensive cars thanks to the auto show though.

Mid 90's Rolls:
(random photo not the one I rode in)
The best part was she felt the interior wasn’t up to par, so she had it entirely re-done.

VW Toureg TDI, current gen. Loaded.

My old boss had a 2008 Lexus LS460 loaded to the tits that she bought brand new. It was over $100K when she bought it.
The next closest is a 2006 E60 M5 ironically owned by the same boss’s son(guess who was overpaid). He bought it used so it’s was cheaper than the Lexus.
Edit: I just remembered he replaced the M5 with a Bentley Continental GT so that is by far the most expensive.

2006 Ford GT, the guy drove me around a little bit

Probably this 458 and I got to take it around Harris Hill racetrack! She can definitely scoot.

I drove a 612 Scaglietti few miles down a highway and back to get gas.

Probably an F355 spyder, which I think retailed around $150,000 back in the day.

Probably a bus.

I hate you. Probably my boss’s loaded Denali

Loaded Hyundai Sonata.
High roller, I know.

In terms of current value, a 2005 Ford GT.
In terms of value when new, Saleen S7.
If we count sat-in, and not ridden/driven, a Bugatti Veyron.

Ridden in? Maserati Quattroporte. Driven? It’s close between an Audi R8 and Porsche Panamera Turbo.

As far as current value goes:

Far and away, Mac F1! Although the value wasn’t as high back then.
Will cherish memories forever.

A loaded up 2008 328i convertible. Stickered for almost $60k I think?

Yeah in the left seat, too. Fun when passing on two lane highways.

Hopefully mine will occur tomorrow. Local dealer has a Bentley Continental for sale. Wife knows the owner of the dealership so we are going to try to get by there for a test drive.

Probably a 2007 Fleetwood Revolution (40').

I think the price would be pretty decent on this, definitely the most expensive car I’ve been in.
Damn straight I want those bonus points.

McLaren MP4-12C or Ferrari 458, if you count me asking guys at C&C if I can sit in their car while the car is in a stationary state.

It wasn’t a car. It was a John Deere tractor.

Nissan GTR when they first came out. My local Nissan dealer had one in stock and I was geeking out over it so much the dealer let me start it up and took me for a ride in it.
That was an awesome story to tell at age 13.

For me... probably this:
... which sells for around $260 million.
OOOHHH... most expensive CAR...
That would probably be a 1989 Rolls Royce Silver Spirit II... which looked something like this:
I think those sold for almost $200,000 when new. To me, it was an interesting car to drive (I rented it for a day), but I wouldn’t spend anywhere close to $200,000 or even $100,000 on a new one. The all around performance was nothing special. Yeah, it was luxurious, but it didn’t ‘wow’ me. Yeah it was smooth and quiet... but so was my dad’s Mercury Grand Marquis.

Probably one of the things in this photo, just not sure which of them is most expensive. I do know at least two of them are six figures.
Come to think of it, the Nameless BR-Z rally car is probably in that ballpark now as well.

The most expensive cars I’ve ridden are also the most expensive cars I’ve driven, thanks to their trusting owners. It’s a toss up between these two:
1996 Porsche Carrera Cabriolet
2013 BMW 535i Xdrive
Then again, I was a truck driver for the Army and those toys are a good bit more expensive.

Me too. I did it at Disney world when they still had the race track there. Also did the Indy experience at Disney world. That may have cost more than the Ferrari when it had a real Indy motor in it. I drove it with a 200 hp Honda motor though.

I worked on one of those once. Guy needed a new radio put in. It was a simple swap. A pioneer for a pioneer, but it was cool to have it in my shop.
The guy was pretty cool too. He had packets of grey poupon he would carry around in the car. Whenever someone would do the old “pardon me, do you have any grey poupon?” He would hand them a packet of the stuff. I always thought it was cool he wasn't stuffy about the fact it was a RR.

No pictures on my phone, and for some reason Google Drive isn’t working for me right now, but I got to ride in a Porsche 918 two years ago.
Truly a jaw dropping car.
